Nailed it. The dealerships tend to not be willing to work with you around here because they know if you don't buy it some kid fresh off a deployment with a fist full of cash will pay sticker or more.

I wonder if that applies to DE residents only, or if anyone buys good in DE they don't have to pay tax. Knowing VA (and more specifically VB, VA) I don't think they'll just let us skate without them reaching their hands in our pockets...
Sales tax is based on the state you plan on registering the car. So if you're planning on registering in VA, it's 3% sales tax if you buy in NJ DE NC SC PA or VA etc.
