I didnt mean rice in a bad way ... just the guages that change color dont appeal to me , if you want to know what rpm range your in , look at your tach , and remember you will know what you have your shiftlight set at so ...

 

well when you have one I'd like to see it....during the day. One things for sure. you could make more light with fewer LEDs if they were clustered different, in turn leaving room for something else on that guage as well maybe.

 

Maybe , like it says , its a "concept" and as far as putting more on the guage ... its meant to be a shift light , nothing more , what else did u have in mind to put on it ? up for ideas

2 different color leds would be cool
like 500 rpms before the pill hits the first color comes on then at the pill the main color comes on. Just a warning light like the yellow bulbs on the tree.
Not what I woul dconsider rice and thats what I thought he was talking about. Could be wrong. Thats what I've always wanted.

I would think it would be easy to do with the addition of a resistor or something like that. Or maybe the pill will be the warn and as the voltage gets higher it switches to the main light.

 

I get what your saying , this is my response to that and how i have always gone about using my shift light ... if i want to shift at say 7,000 rpms ... im going to use a 6'800 RPM pill , with the bodys natural reaction time ... by the time that light comes on and you put down the clutch and shift gears you have allready tached up to 7,000 ... therefore , a so called "warning light" is your shift light ... get it ?
