The way any bike will get stolen is a couple dudes and a pickup truck. So a disc brake lock isn't a deterrent. You need to make the bike impossible to get into the truck. I've always blocked my bike in with my cars. This way they can't pick it up.

You'd be worse off with that idea. A truck is pretty easy to steal.............and you already loaded the bike up for them!!!!! That's as bad as leaving a bike on a trailer.

 

Get a bike alarm wit a pager, now days bike alarms comes wit remote start also. What comes around goes around so the fool that stole your bike, I hope he gets his and then some. Good luck on getting your insurance company to pay your bike off, they give you book value and most likely goin to drop you. Had a friend wit a 2002 R1 in Va Beach and got stolen a month after he got it. They paid him book value and then dropped him. What color was your R6?? I see them all day long in Newport News, especially at nite, wit the one headlight.
