I think notchback 5.0's are sexy as shit, but the interiors are HIDEOUS

I wouldnt mind trading my Formula for a notchback.. Dont know if I can handle the fugly escort interiors though.

I'd get a vw air-cooled beetle, fastback, or karman ghia.

You can turn a stock 1600cc into a 1914cc for $1000. Put a turbo and carb on it for another $1500 , a trans for $1200 and some slicks for another $300.

Lighten the car up a little by tossing out the interior and bumpers and basically you have a 10.5 car. Use used parts and its way cheaper. Install a small Nitrous unit and you`ll be going high 9s. You will you have a daily driver (take off the slicks) that will smoke 5.0 stangs, corvettes, and vipers (until 100-120 mph) and still pull over 1 g on a skidpad.

They also make the best sleepers as most people on the East Coast have no clue how fast they can be.

Do what I did then, I swaped all the interior out of a 97 cobra(dash, seats, center console, etc...) into an 88 coupe I have. Heh, its forsale also as it sits for $500 bucks too(roller with the black 97 cobra leather)
ALso comes with all mach460 sterio.
Problem solved, pics at the link below. Car is ugly ass exterior, but looks cool as shit on the inside, nothing a little paint want cure.

I don't know much firsthand about the RX-7 but I would be inclined to think that the parts might be relatively hard to find, esp aftermarket. Out of what you asked about I would say 5.0 Fox, personally I would take the GM over the Ford but I don't like the 5th gens, I would look for a 5sp 4th gen camaro and drop a 350 in it, easy to do and I would say the 350 has got to be THE most popular motor in the V8 market if not it definetly has more aftermarket support than anything else I can think of.
