I go shooting with a few c'field cops, and you're right. A lot of them couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. Head shots at 40 yds with a standard issue P229 aren't that difficult, but some of them can't hit 1 out of a 12 round magazine.

Was at D&P shooting range two weeks ago behind Southern Gun World firing off a few rounds. A police instructor came by, noticed my grouping, then handed me his to fire off a few rounds. With a gun I've never seen before shot his .357 magnum, six shots at 15 yards into a hole the size of a quarter. He looked at me, at the target, then back at me and asked, "Who the fuck trained you to shoot like that?" Replied, "Boy Scouts."
