Your definition of a street car?
See FFW's True Street class, and Hot Rod's Pump Gas Drags. REAL street cars running in the low 9's/high 8's. 30 mile cruise, DOT approved tires, 93 octane gas, working lights, wipers, horn, full or mostly full interior, working radio, cant pop the hood or trunk after the 30 mile cruise, and then 3 back to back to back passes with no cooldown time besides waiting in line.
First thing it has to have is a valid inspection/plates, full interior (possibly allow no spare & jack), a/c if the car came so equipped, no more than 93, street dot slicks allowed, looks good as well (no primer colors, bondo, etc.).

also a reasonable clutch engagement for getting through that hour of traffic we all seem to get stuck in everyday.
I think a street car:
Runs on 93 pump gas
Has Tags and is Registerd
Gets driven atleast 5,000 miles a year on the street
It can be striped, tubed, full cage. Hell, it could even have a 500+ ci engine in it. As long as the owner drives it 5,000 miles a year confortable/practical or not. Id still call it a street car.

im going with something that can be driven daily...
to and from work, in the rain, in the heat with out over heating, tags, inspection, registration, and operates on pump fuel, dot tires....
if you have a cage and run 10's but you drive your car daily then you've got you a fast street car...
if you drive your car every now and then because it runs like ass on 93 or it runs 13's on pump fuel but 10's on race fuel, and your registard and what not, then you have a fast car... weather its an actual street car thats up to others and their opinions
if your car cant be driven any day of the week(based on weather, or any other random environment condition) then its not a street car...
just an opinion
