If you want to bench race I think they handle about the same, although the SRTs now come with an LSD. The SRT also comes with better rubber and more ground clearance Also doesn't come standard with about 30 electrical gremlins like the VDUB does.

Don't let all that stuff about the Mopar Stage upgrades being warrantied by every dealer be there deciding factor either. There are plenty of dealers that have tried and will try to void warranties for just Stage1. Just like every other manufacturer there are dealers that are mod-friendly and there are the one's that will try to void your powertrain warranty for a short shifter. There are a couple of shortcomings... the turning radius is fuckin huge, the stock wheels are 6" wide, and you'll get all of those wonderful neon comments everyone loves to fling around.

IMO there are no other cars in the segment that I would rather have. It's by far the fastest, it can keep up when the roads get twisty and has infinite potential.

Sorry for the thread hijack Andrew.
Much agreed, and also there is talk that the SRT4 will be come AWD in the future.

I think that is mostly because the next Lancer and Neon are supposed to be sharing the same platform. Official word is that 2005 will be the last year for the SRT-4. DCX may bring it back a year or two after the new platform drops, who knows.
