I say Ground Control because you can custom order spring rates. I don't know if you can do that with skunks.

well like someone said the basics dont have the adjustablity im looking for. superstreets are nice but ra's are only a few hundred more and are more track oriented that the super streets. too many people win championships with the groundcontrol coilovers for me not to consider them an option, skunk2 is an alternative to the gc's that alot of people are saying are better for the track out of the box so thats why im considering them too. these arent cheap apc pepboys parts theyre race proven with lifetime guarantees.

they have race springs that have an interior diameter of 2.5 inches which i think is the same as their coilover springs. i wish they published the dimensions and spring rates of thier coilover springs so that i can tell if i can upgrade them or not.

EEK how are skunks junk can you be more specific, im not flaming you im curious about your opinion.

Exactlly, the Super Street and Basic's for my car do not impress me. The strut bodies are only shortened around a half inch, which means you really don't gain alot of travel and there spring rates are set-up for ride quality not handaling. Tein makes nice coilovers but, not for around $1,000.

If I had my choice I would get JIC FLT-A2's, adjustable travel, front and rear upper mounts with camber adjustment, inverted strut's, etc...

i'm an autocrosser so i'll voice my opinion. if you posted this topic under the autocross section you know what you'd hear? GROUND CONTROL. i have 350f/450r paired with koni yellows and i love them! don't waste your money...call up ground control and tell them how you want your car to handle and they will sent you the rates you need. i'll leave you with some professional advise...

here's some more input from carreview.com
ground control: http://www.carreview.com/Suspension/...0_2882crx.aspx

skunk 2: http://www.carreview.com/Suspension/...6_2882crx.aspx

hope that helps

well when with stock shocks...junks are prolly better because ther a little stiffer..but i rode in cars with both..and with stock shocks, skunks are a lot more bouncey than GC..tahts why we call them junks, there not comforable lol

thanks for the links c1i9v8i9c they really helped out a lot and thanks for the feedback eek. yeah alot of the complaints that come from the people who had skunks were guys who were either running stock shocks or had them installed on larger cars. when you run such a high spring rate you need to run an aftermarket damper with a dampening force high enough to prevent the spring from oscialting, which is why they were complaining about the bouncy ride. the spring rate for the skunks i read somewhere is 350 for the front and 500 for the rear which is very high for a street driven car and is around what guys are running with the ground controls for a street/track setup. im going to give the skunks a try, the spring rates are high enough and my shop says that for a daily driven car after being exposed to the elements for a while the skunks are easier to adjust than the ground controls. when i get them installed ill do a follow up post on what settings i have the abx's on and the ride quality and performance of the skunks. thanks for the all the input guys.

I have skunks on agx and hate them. will be changing the setup soon. most likely going with ground control with a nice stiff spring rate.

Omni power-USA is probably the only I will ever use now. It has the same concept as the Bilstein system. Too bad, I dont think Omni makes a system for any other cars than EG, EJ, EK, and DC2 chasis..... I say save a few more $$$ and get a set of Tein SS or H&R cups. I have the GC and KYB-AGX combo on my civic. It rides well but definitely shit compared to Omni on my Teg.
