Wow, all this bullshit over a god damn warranty? I know when I paid the dealership 22k+ for my car which has the cost for a 4/50 warranty factored into it, I planned on using it if anything breaks. I don't care if I pissed in the damn gas tank when I was drunk one night, I am taking it to the dealership and if they decide to fix it that is their choice and I will thank them with a smile. Get over it, if you wouldn’t take your car to the dealership because it was your fault then I don’t even know what to say, I think that says enough on its own.

yes , i believe so , thats what the mech said , dunno how true it is. Because there were no noises in the tranny afterwards , strange if you ask me.

 

i feel ya ... the water pump on my new truck broke, i droped it off at 8 this mornin and they had it back to me in a few hours free of charge.

i heart warranties.

I'm on nobody's side here but I'm sure something to do with the increased HP/TQ didn't have anything to do with it. But Also I have seen 2 VR6 trannys with broken 1st gears but 1st gear still engaged but was noisier then hell. I find it odd that it would not go into 1st at all because I have seen cracked syncros, shreared teath and even exploded diffs on 02A and 02Js and they all still shifted into gear. I'll have to see if they opened it up before sending it back to VWOA

 

Wouldn't a 1-2 shift cause the second gear synchro to fail, and not the first?

VW tranny's fuckin suck..ask vr6 shit and das fruher and jeremy and me...lol we have all had our share of tranny problems

 

By ragging the shit out of a car you're making the dealership money in the end. Go ahead and burn that car to pieces, you think you're winning.. you're just fucking the guy who gets your car later down the used car line down the road over. He's going to have a load of small problems or even large drastic problems to repair because someone didnt treat their car with respect. Where will they go? Most likely if it's still within a few years old -> they will be going straight back to the dealership. Hopefully you do sell it, or else you're going to be hit with these problems when the warranty runs out.
