PS. there is a huge difference in my knowledge of the QR25DE now and what it used to be.......Or most comonly known to SE-R enthusiast's as QR25b (Base SE-R) or the QR25v (Spec-V) With an average dyno testing of 12% loss in the SE-R's drive train.....As only a 3% loss In the Spec-V's the Spec V therefore has a better HP/TQ curve than the Base SE-R.......(that was the last question you asked me before this comment.... ) Resulting in about 16 more WHP than the QR25b (Base model).......
3% drivetrain loss .

the base ser and spec v share the same engine...

they may have diffrent parts in them but its still the same thing

The extra 10 hp the spec v has is from the exhaust and the ecu. But yeah, the engine is the same.

OK info from Nismo pre tunning Dyno, As for the engine codes if you read correctly you would see I said Enthusiast refer to the differences in parts in the engine if i really need to go that far....as the base= QR25b (Enthusiast) get it now? anyone that has responded this can act like you know nissan but when it comes to it your still learnin sorry to bash you all but you brought it on yourselves no hard feelins and the 3% drivetrain loss is from SE-R to Spec-V not literall specifics from car to pavement, compare the drive train loss from a Civic EX to a SE-R and you only get a %age of 4&1/2 percent loss....Its kind of like a learning curve which we have now shown is not applicable in this thread......Sorry for boggling whatever you thought you knew about your motor but i was driving this car before most of you thought about owning it.......Thanx Jeff......

Hey Strange Manny said He'd do it after hours.....(Timming)

Sometimes I get a little too carried away with the kids...No offense I know you know nissan , dont you wanna buy my SR20DET S13? arent you the guy I think buying for your brother or something...My main statemet was that I dont like to be asked to help setup someones car and then they wanna get smart cause they drive an SE-R that i could smoke with a stock VG30E in my 200sx due to his driving skills......lol......but as i said no hard feelins........

Edit: wow im tired.....

First off, of course I’m still learning, and so are you. One thing you do need to learn is the English language. Secondly, you didn’t say anything about a 3% difference. Let me give you your exact words: "With an average dyno testing of 12% loss in the SE-R's drive train.....As only a 3% loss In the Spec-V's". And yes, you are right about the Spec V having a slightly better power curve, or rather it can stay in its powerband better with the shorter gears. This however does not have anything to do with drivetrain loss. It is an issue of gearing. The spec V has shorter gears. Also, I seriously doubt a stock spec v dyno's at 16 whp more then a base se-r.
