i see multi turbocharged engines, twin supercharged engines, twinturbo supercharged engines ....NOS will die out. methanol injection will be more popular. a new innovated type of forced induction that isnt none of the above will be introduced. i am keeping my thoughts documented lol

I think you're talking about GDI engines... They sound great (more power with less fuel consumption) but there's downsides to them too. They require EXTREMELY high fuel pressures to work (several hundred psi instead of like 50psi). Another downside is that they are much harder to work on and it will take awhile for the learning curve to catch up to the technology. But yes, I think the GDI technology is a much better choice than trying to use alternate fuels... fuel injection engines should have gone that direction long ago.

the past 10 years, the scene has thrived off the cheap 4 cylinders, like civics/integras mainly, and the other imports. aftermarket engine parts come in about anything you can think of to turbos/superchargers to valve train items.

where do you see the scene going. nobody is even looking at the civic anymore (01&up). i don't believe there are any turbo 'kits' for it. other companies are pushing honda out of the way, like nissan and mazda.

what do you see 'taking over'? what new products do you see. what hybrids, and crazy shit we wouldn't have even thought about 10 years ago, coming in our future? (turboed spec v's? turboed neons all over the place? supercharged accords? although it's a v6?) what's everyone's thoughts?
This happens (The whole Honda civic sux now thing) every 5 years a car manufacturer gets so lost in the economics that they forget what the buyers really want and as soon as nissan or mazda or subaru has cornered the market honda will put something out to decimate the newest nissan or whatever the front runner may be....Honda has been a front runner in the import scene for so long pplz are also getting tired of seeing them....(The "if you drive a civic you rice" attitude) The RSX type S and the S2000 are way too pricey for most of us so we overlook that if we spend 25,000 dollars we can have a hot honda......Its just what happens like when all nisssan made performance wise for a solid 4 years was the 300Z, but who could afford it back then when it was brand new and 25,000 dollars....Its all about where the company goes and when they do it....The import scene is going nowhere it just may fade for a few companies for a while....Think of subaru they just really got in the game with the WRX and now the STI is comming ......Mitsubishi quit making the turbo eclipse for a while but the new / old lancer evo8 is on its way now as with nissan putting out ther highly tunnable, highly affordable SE-R out.....Its just the nature of the beast......

Water driven superchargers that work like turbos.....Its in the mix right now in a JWT prototype infinite....dont know the model but it will be unveilled soon....They say if it works it will be more efficient and break less than any forced induction yet and propane injection is gonna be hott....

Actually, they were almost $40,000 brand new! Like WHOA! But that's good to me; don't see the roads flooded with them now. It is even more of a rarity to see a FD (RX-7) on the streets. Wonder how much those went for brand new?

Remember that this is covering imports that made it to American soils. All of these manufacturers have made some pretty cool performance-minded cars over the years that never made it across the water (Japan and the UK have some cool race-ready cars unique to what travels our roads).

Anybody seen the commercial for the new 626? I think it's called the "6". It's dope. I'd buy one.

The scene- I think the companies that aren't around now are seeing whats going on and will really step it up. Honestly i think the turbo is here to stay for a while. Surprisingly i think the american companies such as chevy, ford etc.. are catching on and will really come out with more shit then they have now. (ie. the srt-4) The 4 banger is looking good on the outlook and the monster engines are thriving and have been around for years. It will get interesting trust me.
