Man i wish i knew more about FD's.. there one of the rarest and sweetest machines out there along with MKiv's... i haven't seen FD's on the road in FOREVER.. that's going to be one hell of a beast.. can't wait till the dyno(if you decide to unleash it)

I have three that I am looking hard into...the Power FC, Microtech, and the AEM...but I am leaning towards the AEM. Motec's are great but cost around 5k.

 

what about megasquirt? i heard they're a very cheap alternative to those pricey systems

 

never heard of it or from any of the shops....I dont want to invest in something that has the possibility of destorying thousands of dollars of equipment.

 

the Megasquirt is a VERY good product. check www.megasquirt.info i think is what it was

 

interesting, but i would not invest into something that says, "MegaSquirt is an experimental Do-It-Yourself programmable electronic fuel injection controller" unless i was an expert at tuning capabilites... i'd much rather look into AEM and other standalones and/or piggy's that tuners have hands on and knowledgeable experience with.. it's just less of a head-ache and if i had any problems i could go to those who know how to work the damn thing.

not saying that megasquirt is bad, just that if i had problems with it then who would i turn to for help?..

i would just fork up the loot and have it done RIGHT the first time and enjoy drivin the car.. there's nothing worse than having to wait... and wait... and wait...

 

I totally agree...Id rather have a shop in the area that was familliar with my car and my ecu.
