shad, is the turbo of a salvage motor....meaning like a 60trim T3 compressor? off of a 2.3 mustang or tbird or 3.0 VG30 nissan 86-89 300zx

if its choking this helps me find the answer to what we discussed today.

no it is off the old motor it was made for 5 lbs on the i.6 and it is choking the ar on the ex. is a .48 with a stage 1 wheel and the compresser is at its best a .50 trim it was built buy innovative. a year or so back. i orered him a t3/to4b with a superv wheel and .63 ar ehaust/ stave 3 trim should work out alot better.

Um, I HIGHLY doubt the t3 is a bottle neck, the t3 makes well over 300hp and doesnt loose significant amount of effenciency until 25psi, (.63/.60 t3)... and this is on a 2.3 which flows 165cfm per port on the head.. so I dont see the t3 as being the bottle neck...

Stock internals are forged Im guessing??? or how the hell do you run 25psi on them??? I dont care how good the cast piston's are, they have a melting point somewhere...

Well yes it was me, and yes I did get my butt handed to me. (I tried to tell you that you would kill me ) But it was fun, just got the swap done, and the car tuned, and he asked real nice, so I figured what the hell. The color is "(early) viper metallic blue" painted by the previous owner. The turbo is a .48/.42, so it's a lil small. The dyno on the 1.6 was a pretty good curve, pulled to 6500 which is where the plot ends, on the 1.8, hp starts to drop off at 5k.
And to the owner of the Supra (Rico? That's what I heard anyhoo) thanks for taking it ez on me in here about the kill . I had a good time when you let me get the jump........until the 3-4 shift, somehow being left tends to take some of the fun out of it. Thanks for not laughing at me afterwards.
The reason I bought the Link in the first place, was no Tec for the 1.6, and I didn't feel like getting a wheel made. Also didn't think the HP bug would bite me this bad.

What is the turbo.. I know where junkyard t3's .63/.60 and t3's .63/.48's are... so if you want a nice easy swap then pm me and Ill fill you in...

What kind of injectors are you running? they have low impedence 35lb injectors too..

I will do a 2.3T swap into a miata if not a 302 swap one day.. atleast I would jizz on my self if I saw a miata pull the front tires off the ground.. taht would be f'ing weak

im not a fan of the 302 swap, it adds so much weight to the front end defeating the whole purpose of the miata

on the 1.8, the t3 .48 a/r turbine is a bottleneck

I was curious as to what year the 1.8 came out of since it wasn't the original engine? What kind of power did it make when the boost was set at about 9 lbs of boost? Those things are known to make less power at a higher boost setting due to the factory knock sensor. read up on it: http://www.flyinmiata.com/support/M2.asp

Run 16 is at 9 psi while run 11 is at 12 psi.

Just something to look into and to ponder.....
