Some things People can do by them selfs 4 sure.... but some times you just gotta have some one fix or do things for you because you would end up fucking something up. Norris and Jason have both treated me well when it comes to business with my hatch. I Dont think I would take it anywhere but there just because (1) Its very close to me and also Ive known that shop even when they were CDE motor sports and my brother was doing business with them when he had his 99 black gst. My brother got a few things from them like Injen intake,GReddy type S bov, Axis 7 wheels and springs ect ect. My brother never said anything bad and always spoke good about CDE so when they moved down here and changed there name to Ultimate, I just had to check out the new shop. Then I herd about Jason hunt and Norris from nu image coming to the shop that made me want to go there even more. Dont get me wrong ALOT of the honda shops around here are really good. I would never take my car to any shop but these.

(1) Ultimate

(2) Inline Pro

(3) REV TECH

Man i dunno, personally all that money spent on labor would kill me knowing that it could have gone to performance mods. Thats why i only will do my own labor.

Like i said befor i would do the swap myself because i know how to do. I am in college and dont have the time to fix little things here and there if something happends, so id much rather go with a shop that if something messes up they will fix. Yes i am friends with alot of people at rev-tech i know them from Nu Image so im getting a good deal. So far they have done a good job they are good people.

Sounds like something one should take care of before getting into the game.

Yea seriously though, if your really serious about modifying your car and shit you should of already bought a good tool set. Shit me and a buddy rebuild a whole GSR with just a 150-200 dollar set of Craftsman Hand tools and a borrowed engine lift from a buddy which also he bought for like 100 bucks.

I was simply stating that he could have saved over a grand by doing the swap himself, then use that money on parts. These days, a b-series swap is becoming to be as common as an oil change. There are sites that list each and every step so any beginner can do it. You ever done a Legend swap, ever tried? Now that takes skill. I only know of a few people including myself that have attempted/completed one in their garage and I give those few a lot of credit. If I had to do it again, I would probably pay a shop to do it simply because I don't have a lift in my garag and I had to do most of the work on my back.

If you plan on modifying cars for the long haul, it would be a wise choice to invest in tools and a place to do the work because it will save you tons of money, not to mention peace of mind because let's face it, a shady performance shop in NOVA isn't exactly "rare." On the other hand, you could always live in an apartment/no garage because you spend all your money on your car/perf.shop labor and you can wake up one day to it gone, found a week later stripped in PG county. Maybe I'm different because I choose to invest my money in a house/garage/tools before I go dumping it all on my car.

very true, but some people just arent skilled like you

also alot of people are just now getting into the scene, so that could be another thing, but i definately agree with you, swaps are very common nowa days, maybe thats why he posted the thread on here to see if theres someone thats good at that and done it enough times and see if he can do it for cheap, i dont know!!
