that sounds like a good design. It was just so wierd looking to see drum and disc brakes coming off the same spindle. Why is the 'vette the only car that does this. I know that exotic supercars like the Porsche Carrerra GT, Ford GT, and SRT-10 Viper all have their own caliper for the parking brake. If the 'vettes style was superior, wouldn't these high dollar ride follow suit?

well i know that nissan uses the same design in their high end models like the 300zx and the gtr. its one of the reasons why i switched over to the 300zx rears for my 240.

why the higher end cars dont have it im not sure, it could be due to better engineering, more frequent overhauls, or a combination of both. your guess is a good as mine.

Just put another little small hydro cylinder on the E-brake handle (a junkyard clutch cylinder will prob work well), and plumb it to a adjustable proportioning valve and then into the rear brakes. THEN you can do mad tyte dori-dori dorifto handbrake turns.
Then you can put the vette ass end in the ditch all you want..

I wonder if that would make the ABS system freak out..?

I don't need to use the e-brake to do a donut.

The 98-02 F-body E-brake is set up the same way.
