With V8 of that size, and asseccories you are around 3400-3500 without driver, including, power windows, brakes, steering, ac and radio with fold down rear seats
A dig I would go to the camaro with the traction and the brute low end torque of that big block and 300 shot

dumping the clutch is where all the fun is. i dump(ed) the clutch on the 4pak at 6250rpm (rev limiter) with a 28" m/t et street and stock axles with a 75shot smacking right behind it...
slipping the clutch wastes 60' times and burns up clutch material. get a good flywheel and clutch you can trust, and invest in good driveline components. fuck babying something out of the hole.
personal rule of thumb: if i break it, GREAT! i found the weak link. rebuild it with something stronger and try again...

if a RWD on a slick can't destroy an AWD out of the hole he's doing something wrong. from a dig the camaro definitely has the upper hand by far.
