12 second CRX or a 6spd Fbody
What do you think theu will fear most. I have a bone stockTA(WS6) as well as a turboed formula. Ill gurantee that the stock TA will pick up more chicks and beat more than half the cars on this board. And boostjunkie is slow. So his input doesnt matter. The CRX is impressive, but is the car stripped of weight. does it have the amenities(AC, radio, and passenger seat). I had a CRX and the only thing I really hated was no power steering. Also I know you said dont mention potential, but Stock LS1 in the 11s is not unheard of its just great driving, but add a little shot and that CRX doesnt have a chance. Whats the compression on that CRX by the way. If you want me to help your choice Ill be going to the track soon(car has to come up from NC) and Ill take you for a spin in the formula and you'll never remember how to spell CRX. GL with your choice.
This is Fastcrva on my buddies account- 1st off that TA whistler is super sick.
Now if your telling this rex wont pick up chix your crazy. My CRX had a radio 2 seats and a sub in the trunk. but the trunk was stripped.
^^whats does that mean? Im not sure.I had some 12.5.1 pistons but i had a big head gasket. I know lesie Durst has a 4 bannger running 9's NA.<--I just thought I would throw that in

It means several LS1s with juice would light it up. I know of several LS1s (stock motor)in the 10s with just juice and a good driver deep in the 10s. But this is the question to ask. Is this going to be a street car or track car. Is Leslie Durst a street car? Im talking 93octane and full interior and amenities. I built all my cars to be street cars. I love some AC. Also its really not alot of work to make a LS1 fast. Not trying to jack the thread but how much time and money was it to make the CRX a 12 sec ride. For 500 bucks(decent nitrous kit) a F-body is easily a 12 sec ride with nothing done and a lousy driver. If price is a issue my formula was 6500 dollars. LS1s are a great bargain right now. C5s can be had for less than 20k. After this project is done I plan on buying a C5(wifey car) and a 03 cobra(refinancing house loads of equity). Bargains are abundant right now. 03 cobras with 5-7k in mods(solid axle and a KB and other little things) will get you tens with a good driver. Just my 2 cents. But the point I am getting at is Street cars are great. I have more respect for 10 second street cars then 8 second race cars. Nothing like driving a ez 10sec ride and making 20+mpg(but not the gas guzzling fords). My preference is the ls1. If you want na 9sec ls1s here ya go to many to search, but there are some 8s sorry. But to each his own. And different strokes for diferent folks. Not trying to cause a argument or be a dick. I like hereing everyones opinion. heres a pic for ya. Now that is sexy.
