With a wheelbase that short, with that much suspension travel and a low natural frequency, I'm not surprised the tow rating is low.

^^ This exactly.

With the "towing package" it can pull up to 3500 lbs, that's enough for my needs.

But what kind of compromises to the 3500# rating will come from lifting it a little, cause who doesn't lift a jeep?

Even that setup would surprise me if it didn't weigh over the rated towing capacity.

Mostly stability is the big comprimise. Long soft suspension is not your friend during any time other than when you're on trail.

Why dope status you ask? BECAUSE RACECAR thats why! As a b-day gift to myself/buddies last weekend in Germany, we went halves on a racecar rental and hit up the Nurburgring. My wife (who's pictured) was too scared to drive but she did a couple of ride alongs with the other guys that came up. Did my best of a 11:27 with her in the car with me. She was my good luck
