he made the post because he knew that haters (like yourself) would be quick to jump in and start an argument. people need the realize that they aren't the sole arbiter of "coolness" and accept that other people aren't necessarily going to be into the same thing as them. this tribalism of modified cars both amuses and confuses me.

 

see i think you guys are taking me the wrong way, i am in no way shape or form saying all vw owners should go die. and i cant say yet i have a issue with any of the vw guys who posted in this thread. there isnt anyone at all in this thread i have a issue with.

its just the fact that this same thing is posted in a new thread every week or so. with the known fact that it will turn into this type of arguement and its done on that sole purpose alone. its not done to sit here and show off VW's its done to start shit.

and to me thats a fucking complete waste of a thread and everyone on this sites time.

why i keep saying if you want to do the VW thing the VW sites are for that.

because its an open car forum? people are free to post about any make/model that they like regardless of what you think about it. if you don't want to see VWs ignore the threads - simple as that.

 

I dunno nag... I know THIS thread was a shit stirrer, but for the most part I think the recent VW topics were peeps posting their own wares. The reason the threads go downhill is because people have to express how deeply their feelings are on stretched tires and wide wheels. It's cool that not everyone digs the look. I don't like certain things myself. Difference is that I don't have to say BURGANDY CARS SUCK on every page of a thread. I think the point would be made the 1st time I posted it. If someone came back and said BURGANDY CARS ARE THE TITTIES 2 pages later, I (personally) wouldn't feel compelled to call them an idiot.

And don't get me wrong, either. I'm not mad or upset or anything about the whole topic. I don't think anyone here who disapproves is an ass. I have mad respect for a lot of these guys. I'm just an old guy with old balls who is fighting the fight trying to stay alive to build another VW one day. (or get that e30 M3 I've always wanted and keep it stock).

and again i respect what your saying, and if you go check those threads where people actually post pics of their own cars, i was one of the first people to say the car looks good, minus the halo headlights, or i like the car, the wheel actually fit. im not a hardcore biased person what so ever. except when it comes to the poor wheel fitment choice. shit the hondas that do it fucking look like shit. its not a strictly anti VW thing really. i dont like how some of the vw owners act. i think some are ignorant as fuck. none in this thread have shown that, but the people i see everyday that blow off on me, to get me to race them, then get raped then tell me at least my car is low..... WTF?

but the want of this site to accept the whole VW trend of extreme offsets and shit isnt going to happen. but these threads are posted for the sole purpose of "I WANT TO START SHIT".

and that is ignorant. in every way shape or form no matter if it was a VW owner that did or a honda owner.
