Well blackandbrown the factory 03 is dynoed at 424 fwhp (factory spec of 390) meaning that it was underrated by the ford motor company because of the controversey over the other cobra (either 98 or 99) that was OVERrated. However even to me 485 seems high and its possible that I mis-read the article and that is FWHP. You can check it out at

Just for choodle there, I figured Id go ahead and ask the 4.3L guys, all of which are stating figures a far cry from choodle. Although still lighter than I had mentioned. I got my original figures from auto traders research list.
