I spent 3 hours prepping just the BACK of the battery box for paint. Had to sand off old sticker adhesive that had been sprayed over, paint chips, gouges in the plastic...... you name it. I even had to sand the paint off of the OEM Honda badge on it.




Stupid move of the day: I started priming without masking off the Honda badge. Suppose it's not a problem considering I'll be sanding again.

 

^^ That's sounds like too much work...

 

Not when there's 2 coats of BAD rattle can paint job on it, more necessity than anything if I want a half-way decent paint job.
The front is worse, they even painted over the Honda sticker!

On a lighter note, I'm back on 2 wheels and ready to start putting the harness back in!
