I won't say an F-body can't handle but no V8, 3600 lb car is going to keep up with an S2000 on a nice curvy track, I'm sorry. for very low investment an F-body can be cracking 12 second 1/4 miles but even modded to the hilt it would have trouble keeping up with a stock S2000 with anyone who knew how to drive the S2K in the curves.
You can't see one pro-driver take a few S2K's to school because he could drive an assume it's the car.

SCCA Touring II class. Dominated by F bodys. The class includes s2000's. Nice try, game over though. I'm not doubting that s200's will win on a road with nothing but turns. But no roadcourse in america has nothing but turns. Hell no road course in the WORLD has nothing but turns. F body's dominate the Touring II class. And by dominate i mean finish 1 2 and 3 in nearly every race. And since the class includes very limited mods other than shocks, sway bars, and tires, I'd have to say that it's a fair comparison. And s2000's just cant cut it, sorry.

People need to expand their knowlege slightly more outside of Hondas. Thank God someone has some actual facts.

I don't doubt F-body's are quick, or at least can be quick given some tuning and a good driver on a ROAD TRACK but to say they can outhandle an S2K is just ignorant.
For the record here is from last falls SCCA T2 runnings quoted from a friend of mine who owns an S2K and competes in SCCA T2:
Call it honda-fanboy-number-wrangling if you like, but I found this somewhat interesting. Here are the top 10 fastest laptimes from last fall's runoffs and the position that they finished the race:
1:40:238 CTS (5)
1:40:287 SRT4 (6)
1:40:391 350Z (10)
1:40:535 CTS (1)
1:40:675 SRT4 (4)
1:40:745 Boxster (3)
1:40:941 Camaro (2)
1:41:033 M3 (11)
1:41:252 S2000 (19)
1:41:380 Camaro (7)
Clearly, the S2000 has the laptimes to justify it's classing in T2, but unfortunately it cannot pass the higher hp cars in the straights. From my own track experience, you make up A LOT of track position against F-bodies when braking for tight corners. Unfortunately, catching up to a car and passing a car are two entirely different animals.

whatever i would take the fbody i've owned nissans and hondas, all the hondas that i've owned i get tired of them real fast. the fbody(ls1) has endless potential.
