I don't doubt F-body's are quick, or at least can be quick given some tuning and a good driver on a ROAD TRACK but to say they can outhandle an S2K is just ignorant.
For the record here is from last falls SCCA T2 runnings quoted from a friend of mine who owns an S2K and competes in SCCA T2:
Does an F-body outhandle an S2K? Or does it just power it's way down the straights, gain some distance only to have the S2K catch it on the turns where it can't pass the slower turn maneuvering F-body? hmmm.

Funny. S2000's curb weight, which is notoriously lighter than actual weight's, is 2835. My car weighed in on VMP's scale at 3375. That was fully loaded, with a toolbox in the back, and a full tank of gas. So even if i give the S2000 a weigh in weight of 2835, it's still only 540lbs lighter than a F body.
S2000's are amazing cars, but I'm tired of people not giving domestics the credit that they're due.

Tell any dedicated "GM" F-Body driver that and he will quickly choke the life out of u. As for me F-body, G-body it doesnt make a differnce. I drive a dsm.
