Local S2000/Ferrari F40 owners dicsussion thread
Lol, I'm saying as far as out of boost driveability. Driving 80mph and highway vibrations/smoothness; it's about the same. I'm actually partial to my wrecked one. It actually drove the best after being totaled, I know, ironic.
That car at 90mph could be driven with one finger on the wheel and it was as smooth as butter on 178k mile stock suspension.

It's sad that a car such as the S2000 could have ever obtained the way too common shitbox status. I wish they made only a few thousand instead of a metric shit ton of them. Otherwise the value wouldn't have ever plummeted like it did and only people that loved the car would own them and have taken care of them throuh the years. Honestly man if i were you i would only buy one in 100%a stock form and from an old couple. Chances are it will be reasonably priced, sitting in a garage so you wont have any soft top issues and the car most likely wouldnt have been beat on. Also one thing i learned is that the after market replacement parts for the S are super shitty compared to the factory stuff. So if you can find one thats been taken care of and still has all the oem parts on it you will be much happier. It's an amazing car for the price i hope you find a good one.
I paid a decent amount for my car ($14k), but when I bought it it was 100% stock, in mint shape, and had 42k miles on it. And it was black on black. And when I bought it, the only S2k's that were for sale within 100 mi of here were beat to shit, had a billion miles, or were modded to fuck, and STILL nearly as much as I paid.
I'm completely happy with my purchase, especially considering I'll never sell this car. Its exactly what I've wanted for years, and even still stock its still fun every time I drive it.

The hunt continues. I found a Rio Yellow in Raleigh but not sure I want to travel that far to look at a car. Owner is older though
I remember unloading these cars at my dealership. I remember how they were brand new.
BALL SO HARD.
Yeah. Not sure why but I hate the AP1 bumpers. Guess I'm a fan boiiii.

For the 2002 model year, suspension settings were revised and the plastic rear window was replaced by a glass unit incorporating an electric defroster. Other updates included slightly revised tail lamps, an upgraded radio, and a revised engine control unit.
