I have to disagree with you. I have an '03 Cobra with a stock pulley and a stock tune (only one in existence) and less than $1000 in the suspension. I still have stuck springs and shocks/struts. I have performed the "driver mod" and learned to drive it to and a bit past it's limits. So the next time I go to either VIR or Summit Point you can ride shotgun and count how many Mazdas, Hondas, BMWs, and Porsches I pass in a 20 minute session. Or go to one of the NASA autocrosses at VMP and look me up, I will be the nutcase in the dark gray Terminator. I am far from the fastest car on track but I am very far from the slowest. And before someone starts talking shit I don't pass everything on the straights and tiptoe through the corners.

You are absolutely correct. But I have never heard the drag radial guys telling the 10.5W outlaw guys that their cars are pieces of shit and that they only run those times because of an unfair advantage of having slicks.

The funniest part of all this is that of all the shitstorms I've gotten into with the honda guys about how they always talk about being so fast on the street, when in reality they are backing down to stock turbo mitsubishis with their supposed "really fast and beats everything yo" cars, the fall back is always lets go to the track, and now Mike has made the offer and the excuses STILL fly.
I just wanna race

My head is starting to hurt from all this... I love all you guys... I have a Buick AND a Toyota...

Import guys: What rules do you want applied to your cars?
What rules do you want applied to the domestics?

Domestics: What rules do you want applied to your cars?
What rules do you want applied to the imports?

let's compile a solid list and hash it out that way... All this circle jerk bickering is taking us further away from actually having a good time...

1) Imports can run slicks.
2) Domestics can run slicks (though, with as many cars running 8's on ET Radials, I don't think we need slicks)
3) Any DOT certified fuel is authorized. (E85 and Sunoco 100 octane included)
4) Meth / Alcohol injection is authorized.

There... that's what I would be okay with..... Next?

DR's for all

no more than 93 octane pump gas for all

Meth injection allowed for all

Race the same way you drive on the cruise to the track.

Plus allow an ET bonus for the group with the higher MPH like I stated in my post 172. To give some credit to the roll racers.

Are you still trying to bring a race car to beat a street car? Give it up man.

I was commenting on the man's excuse. "we can't race because we'll blow up and can't afford to rebuild" was his excuse. I was making a point of how stupid that makes you guys look.

The point all of us are trying to make here is, the honda guys always want to talk shit about how they can keep up and all, but in the end they always want to bring a tin can race car trailer queen to race everyone else's street cars. I have a AWD boat with full interior, heat, stereo, DOT legal fuel, DOT legal tires, and a little old 61mm turbo, OEM axles, OEM trans, OEM gas tank. You have a prepped race chassis, full slick, and what, 20% more turbo? And probably weigh 1000 lbs less. I certainly hope you aren't trying to talk shit if that's what it takes to beat me. You do have a respectable car and are not one of the ones I'm really trying to make fun of here. The guys I'm talking about are the shit talkers that never back it up. I wish I got paid for the number of no show races I've brought a car to where the other guy (99% of the time a honda) excused his way out of the race they shit talked their way into. I'm not going to turn my car into a race car to prove a point. I'm not afraid of any honda that is equally equipped to me. And I'm not afraid of any street honda on asphault, period.
