I do like it, and I do respect Sam as he's been a good friend of mine since he was waiting tables fresh off the boat 10 years ago. He's stepped his car game up, and now he owns his own successful restaurant. I'm quite sure the two of you have much different taste, but I'm sure he wouldn't insult your car.

You're getting awfully defensive about the hater comment (which in case you're unsure, it wasn't even directed towards you initially.. It was directed towards your Nissan friend who said, once again, that the E60 M5 with the Eisenmann Race exhaust sounded like "complete ass.") In the meantime, I'm failing to see how I've been hypocritical, but it really doesn't matter to me whether you like me or not.

I'm done talking to you as this is going nowhere positive, obviously...
You and i must have a different definition for the word "Jealousy."

Ive never once disrespected Sam, nor his car for that matter. I stated my opinion about how it sounds one time, and you havent let it go since...So please, tell me where i insulted his car in any other way than thinking it sounds like a moped without a muffler coming up Brambleton at 2am. I admire Sam as a business owner, as well as an Auto Enthusiast...I respect anyone that works their ass off to put whatever money they can into their car. I also have the right to have an opinion about any car, and if i dont like something about it, ill tell you. Because its my right to have that opinion. At that point, its up to the owner to take that opinion into consideration, or ignore it. If Sam is happy with the way his car sounds, then thats all that matters right?

Im getting defensive about the haters comment, because its always nut hugging faggots that are first to say "stop hating" when ANYONE has an opinion that they dont agree with. Matt's opinion is that Sam's M5 sounds like ass to him, and you should respect that opinion. I tell matt on a daily basis that his S14 sounds like shit, and he just laughs and says "I know.." Does he get butt hurt? No...because its his car and he obviously likes it sounding that way.

This is why i called you a hypocrite. You state that Matt is entitled to his own opinion, but then you continue to criticize our opinions because you dont agree with them. You like Sam's exhaust, we dont. Get the fuck over it.

I sure do hope Sam is at home sitting back and laughing at the both of us right now. I guess ill just go back to masturbating to GT-R's now.

The only bmw's that sound good are boosted lol. But I agree, 9 times out of 10 I've heard sam's car, it sounded awful. We have one at the shop now, it sounds pretty cool driving it, but is lackluster in the oomph department. Must be because it's an f'n boat.

I haven't seen your newest car, but as with all of the past, you've always seemed to have good taste and I'm sure the Evo is as nice as (if not nicer than) the past. With that said, stick with what you've got for a little while unless someone offers you something you can't walk away from.

I'm not entirely impressed with the engine performance on the 370's that was supposedly such a step up from the 350's, but I think it makes up for it in several other aspects. I didn't like them the year they came out, but they are really growing on me.... it's funny because I felt the same way about the Evo X, and look how that turned out for me!

I'm guessing the Greddy kit you're talking about is a twin setup? I'm not even sure they've released a tuner-style single turbo kit for the 370's yet. Tell him to wait to boost it until he starts to think about getting something else! It will turn that car into an entirely new machine.

The problem with the e60 M5s and e9x M3s is that they make dang good horsepower, but not enough torque. In order to really get performance out of the cars you need to keep the revs high and the cars momentum up. Over 100mph the M5 and M3 REALLY starts to shine, but around town it doesn't pull like you think it should. For example here's a stock M3 dyno. That's the flatest torque curve i've ever seen lol
As a comparo here's my car on the dyno 100% stock with just the Cobb stage 1 93 octane tune

Chris: This was shot in 1080p, 170 degree field of view (wide angle). See the difference in quality, even at Youtube's default resolution? Also, you'll see the quality looks a lot better before being converted and compressed. That's something I'm working on.
Yeah, that looks much better!Mine did come in today, but still waiting on my card.I ordered it the same day as the camera and it still isn't even showing as shipped
I go through the tunnel every chance I get

Where is the compression taking place? Is it when converting it from raw format to whatever format,or when uploading to Youtube?

Also, have you watched the raw footage on a TV?I ordered the USB-HDMI cable today.

Btw, sorry for posting my responses in three different posts. I'm on my phone.
Is there any easy way to dial back the boost? That's a LOT of power for your first track day.
It doesn't look like I'll be able to make it this event.Lots of great instructors with Tarheel-you'll have a great time,I'm sure.

Yeah, i'm definitely not going out out on the track at 100%.
One of the things i love about Cobb's tuning for these cars is the variety, not just in power but also delivery. On the stage 2+ "stock throttle" map i have several datalogs where if i'm in 3rd gear at 2500rpm and i go WOT i'll have ~18.5psi by 3000rpm(tapering to 15psi starting at about 5Krpm) and it comes in HARD. If i run the "linear throttle" map i hit 18psi at around 4700rpm and it's very gradual in it's delivery.
I'll probably run stage 1 linear(~13psi), so i'll be slightly higher than the numbers i posted above(because of bolt-ons ive done since dyno), but it's very smooth and predictable. If i think it's still a little to much i'll just swap to the stock map after my first session. It only takes a couple minutes to change maps.

Im hoping this will be the first of many track days for me, so i'm sure i'll see you around eventually

I don't care if it sounds like complete ass, a moped, or a complete-ass moped. I still think E60s are kinda meh in the looks department and no matter how much bank Sam has he can't buy his way out of that. (unless he gets an F10. and if he does he should call me, I want to pleasure myself to it)

That's a very good looking car IMO. But everyone has different tastes.
