Cycle whore thread
Supposed to be nice all week.. Pretty excited about it.
I took it for a ride and noticed that the front steering was a bit weird, like I'd lean in and the front wheel would point INWARD at the turn so I had to use a lot of countersteer to correct it. I found that strange, but I checked rear pressure and it was at like 12psi, so I stopped at a WAWA and aired it up. BAM rode just like the CBR but more comfortably and with a lot more grunt.
Once I got it home I cleaned it and waxed it. PO#1 tried to spray paint the fairings to repair them and didn't do an awesome job of it so this winter I'll be pulling the plastics and repairing them, then spraying it...probably white. I think white would look killer with the gold wheels. I love the hydraulic clutch setup, the cable setup on the F2 combined with the upgrade springs from the Barnett kit was pretty tiring pulling in the clutch during long city rides. I just can't get enough of the grown the engine makes and the low end that it has. Red though, I've had enough of red bikes.
It was mistaken for a Ducati earlier today, I thought that was pretty funny. I might need to rebuild the rear shock as it's pretty soft, even on the hardest setting.
Wow, beautiful VFR. Great comfortable bikes and nice for long distances.
Didn't realize my rear tire was so worn down...got a flat today in West Point. Looks like I'll be off the bike until I order a new pair.

removing sticker junk= honda polish- spray on THICK let sit for 5 minutes, wipe off.
I love that body style "Viffer". Those V-4's sound AWESOME with a good set of pipes. Like a freakin F1 car at full tilt
.
The older ones had oiling probs to the top ends and were known for snapping cams in half (!), seen it happen a few times, but that later ones like that are damn near bulletproof. They came in a pearl white that year too that was sexy as hell.
"sport tourer" or not, they can hold thier own on the streets too. Throw a penske shock and a set of cartidge emulators on it and ride the wheels off it.
