What made you change your mind about the front frame and battery box color?


What ever the reason, it looks damn good.

 

It was a last minute decision... there was no thought behind it.

At first I was like "OMFG, what have a done!"

Now I like it.

 

Yeah , the one thing I was worried about was all the purple against that turquoise. Leaving the box black eliminated what I feared.

Getting even coverage on the battery box is a fucking pain. You actually did yourself a huge favor. (Ask me how I know)

 

How do you know?

 

The three coats with p.i.t.a sanding in between each coat. I still have to sand again before it gets clear coat. I have no choice though because my battery box was/is beat to shit.

I just stumbled upon a 72 Yamaha R5 on craigslist. Mannn, i'd sell my ruck for it. I just messaged the guy a lot of questions.

Yea, thats why im looking at. Its "cheap" and only needs a few mods to become a nice looking cafe bike. And its also 2-stroke and they sound heavenly lol

 

They make you smell like an old station wagon though........ which I love. Not convenient for filling up though.
