If you can't understand that, I'm sorry, but you really seem like you are trying to degrade me and call me a liar. It's really not appreciated. The fact that your people told me one thing, and you did another, was because of a lack of communication between you and your employees, not because of a lack of communication between me and your shop. I spent AT LEAST 4 hours that night on and off the phone calling and talking to your techs, don't tell me I'm lying about what I was told.
Jason Again.....
Look I am sorry I am not saying you are a liar, but with all due respect your father was standing in our shop. If your father wanted a rental car he should have spoke up we could have drove him there. That evening we did everything possible to get your car done and back home. Normally I have a car on the dyno for 2 hours max they leave and are happy.

This was a difficult situation, but ...

You and your dad did not talk about what was done before the car left, you had a full invoice with all our prices " could have spoke up then"
That is really the bottom line, no matter what I say you are not gonna be happen, I do not think you are a liar, but I dont belive you are trying in the least to take some blame for the misscommunication that evening.
I am sorry some people can not be made happy . good luck
you have a free tune waiting when ever you want it.....

I've sat here and read all of this after being notified about the thread. I know that not every car is perfect and is done in just 1 hour. I know Jason's work simply b/c I work w/ the guy and have seen him tune a car from scratch. For those that say he was frustrated and was in a rush, NEVER. I don't care who says it but Jason Hunt will not rush a customers car especeially when it comes to tuning! Here is my one ? for you TPJ. If this was all our fault yet your father did not mention one thing to us at the time of tuning and work. How come the ECU seemed to work just fine in Jason's 4door civic. No problems and nothing wrong at all. Wouldn't that lead to you looking at your car and saying "WTF??" Works fine in the 4door yet nothing on ur's. Jason Davis.....You need to call me on my cell boss.

I haven't had one complaint about the ECU. 95% of my problem here is the deal with the distributor, as that is what raised my bill by over 500 dollars, which is insane, especially when I had COMMUNICATED with your techs about putting in a used dizzy, which was OK'd by the person I was on the phone with. I'm sorry my father did not speak up about the rental car, or the food, or anything of that sort. That is the kind of person he is, I can't help that. It still doesn't change the fact I ended up paying for a distributor I specifically said not to put into the car. And even though my father did not say anything about a rental car, I did. In fact, at around 7:30 when I said to your tech just to leave the car and I would bring up a distributor for it next day, he was the one who offered to drive my father to the rental place. I then got a call 15 minutes later saying they had a Cavalier lined up for him to drive home. Then another hour later, I got the call saying the car was tuned and ready to leave the shop. Please don't tell me I miscommunicated. Yes, things could have been handled better on my part, but please, don't try to put the distributor off on me, because that was CLEARLY communicated from my end to your shop. I can't handle the communication between who works there and yourself, Mr. Hunt.

This isn't Mr. Hunt but another employee. Look, this is the prob., the dizzy that was used on ur car was indeed a used one and off of another car. The problem being is that if we did go ahead and put that dizzy in your car and that dizzy failed on the way home then whose prob. is it? OURS again right? See the way we handled it was indeed the best way possible, b/c if you were given a used one to take home and that one for some odd reason failed you would point the finger @ us again. We gave you a new one simply b/c @ 4:00 in the afternoon, who else is going to scurry to get you one. You really want to know what would have prevented all this b.s. and all of this finger pointing???

NEXT TIME BRING YOURSELF TO A SHOP! DON'T HAVE YOUR DAD AS YOUR MESSENGER.

I know the situation you were in. But, and But, if you would have been here in person; the view of this whole argument would be seen from from yourself. Your bill was not that high either my friend. For all of the work and time that we spent diagnosing the car **** Which we should have never done in the first place**** wasn't that bad.

Plus, the offer to retune the car for FREE! Trust me, to pass that offer would be the worst thing to do.

I think before anything else is said:

You should come and have the car retuned for free and then have a say when you are next to the dyno first hand. I can gurarantee a happy ending when that day comes!

I don't want to call anyone here a liar or say that I am pointing a finger myself here. ALL I WANT IS TO SEE THIS MATTER TAKEN CARE OF FOR YOU THE RIGHT WAY. This way your car will make good power and run safe.

Jason, I'll hit you up. I got your number, just been busy as hell lately

I'll see what I can do about the tuning, but the reason my father was there in the first place, is because I work 7:30-3:30 Monday-Friday. And do to the fact I live 3.5 hours away, that makes it almost impossible for me to show up. I talked to Jason numerous times on the phone before the car got tuned, about what the best option would be for bringing it up there, and this is what we came up with. As far as the distributor goes, I was told up front that if the car were to not make it home, that it would not be the responsibility of your shop. I had no problem with that, that would have been fully understandable. All these reasons you come up with about why you wouldn't put a used distributor on, but yet all of them were discussed on the phone, and weren't a problem that day. I don't get it

For some reason, I want to punch you in your face for your remark. There is a difference between paying for something that you ask for, and paying for something that is forced upon you. I've tried PMing Mr. Hunt on here about the tuning issue, and never got a response, go figure.

Try calling the shop next week (Jason is in St. Louis for the NDRA race). Jason posts under Norris' screen name and Norris is away racing and won't be in the office until August 2nd.
