Graduation + new house in May...
When you commented on rebuilding for boost, like how much boost are you talking about? Can the stock motor handle a decent 6-8psi with a decent tune?

Yeah I knew which motor you were talking about.
You make it seem like you would have to rebuild it to handle ANY boost. It can handle a modest amount right? But for any real power you'd need a 40g rebuild?

Interesting. So I guess the cool budget N/A setup would be to grab a 2.5RS and drop the block in. 230 N/A HP for $2k (plus misc parts) for a unique ride sounds pretty nice. The more exciting part though is that if a EZ30 will bolt up to an Impeza tranny, then that means a manual tranny swap in a Tribeca would be not that hard. I wonder how integrated the auto tranny electronics are, it would be ideal if the auto tranny controller was seperate so that the ecu could be used by itself with a manual tranny. It would suck to go through all that work and have to use an aftermarket ECU; the stock Suby ECUs are really really well designed.
By the way, has anyone actually tested what that composite intake manifold can withstand for boost? I don't trust heresay at all, I suspect it could handle at least a few PSI with no problems, just looking at it's overall shape. The high compression is a different story.... Damn, now I REALLY want a Tribeca. Maybe in a year or two if I have kids....
