would you get an exotic car?

Personally I like the whole kit car thing myself. Buy a Noble or an Ultima.

I couldn't justify spending more than a year's salary on a car. Vechicles other than point A to B transportation fall under the "disposable income" category, and if you have it, go for it if that's what makes you happy.
You're right.. Your dreams will never come true with that kind of attitude. They're not going to come true if you don't make any sort of conscious effort to make them a reality. Seriously.. try having a little drive, a little motivation, and a little ambition. You'd be surprised what you can do many years down the road if you were motivated to make things happen at a younger age. I don't expect to buy a Gallardo within the next 2-3 years, by any means, but mark my word.. I will own several exotic cars and I will own them before I'm too old to really enjoy them. I'd like to be able to retire when I'm in my early to mid 40's.. If you ask me, I think that's pretty reasonable.

I'm sure this car won't 'purr, respond quicker, makes turns more fluidlike.'
Personally I don't want a car to turn fluidlike. I want to hear every little road noise, see a cage surrounding me, feel like I'm driving a 2000lbs skid across the road. But hey, maybe that's just me. When I'm an old man, my back is hurting, and I can't stand the road noise anymore then I'll go buy a Ferrari.
