I wasn't in anyway trying to be dick if i made that impression. We all started out not knowing to much, I mean i'm still learning more everyday. Reading up on stuff helps out alot. I've still have a way's to go till i know as much as half these "senior" members on here, but for my age/experience I know a quite a bit. I'm sure you have already stated, but what kinda car you putting this GSR into? EDIT: NVM. Which site did you order your motor from?

On my old car, when i rebuilt my dseries swap, I let it idle on jackstands with the wheels off for 1000 miles. (pretty much all day and then the next day) Jimmy rigged the idle to stick a little bit to like 3 grand in second gear.
i called the guy today and asked him and he said its got about 2200 miles on it just to break it in but thats about it...he told me just to granny it for about a week before i do anything else

Alright, I rebuilt one of my old D16's that i had in my 2nd? CRX and it was time for break in. I took the sparkplug wires off, so Oil would build up on trying to start, then I started it with the wires on. I put it on jackstands for a few hours, let it drive its self at 3k in second gear. After all I got like 100 miles on it. Then I put the wheels back on, took it up and down the street for about 40 miles. I would start in first get on it, shift at 4k, 2nd gear to 4k, 3rd to 4500, 4th to 3k then over again for about 40 miles. I then came home and let sit at 3k-4k on the jack stands in 2nd gear with the heater on. Pretty much after that, I changed the oil after it got 500 miles on it and drove it hard from there on out.
