you're not fucked. the amazing part about this paint is that you can sand it down and try again, at the max you'll lose like $10 and a couple of hours of labor.
it's really inexpensive and theres great results - you just have to put in the labor to make it look good.

yes you are
you use a high density foam roller and rustoleum paint
thin it out so it self levels and roll on 2 coats then sand
2 coats and sand 2 coats and sand
then finish with 1000-1500 grit sand paper and a polishing compound
