even worse. at least at volvo you would have a consistent paycheck when you work.
dont do dealership, ESPECIALLY in school/fresh out of school with minimal experience. you will get shit upon.
find a decent indy, and work and learn. if you dont mind diesels, or heavy shit for that matter, try to get on with AEP in their fleet shop. all you will see is powerstrokes and 444E's, but its decent pay.
there is no advantage to working at a dealership aside from getting the latest training and tooling, but you will be stuck with a minimum of 60% warr. work, and thats on good days. at least at an indy you will be doing full pay work, regardless of whether its an oil change or what have you. a used car dealership is a little better to work for, but most of the time they want you to half ass fix it, and you wont have any information.
talk to shawn at united muffler in fairlawn, about a month ago i was talking to him and he mentioned he was needing help. you may start out being a GS tech (aka the tire/lube bitch) but thats how i started at Pep Boys 8 years ago. at least there you would have consistent hours, and have equipment and training avail. (i say this cause he goes to most of the training classes i got to, and we shoot the shit when we are at break)
just dont fucking cuss much, he's fairly religious.

lol, well we do deliver up that way just not every day but I don't believe there are hardly any customers of ours in floyd so the drivers do whine and cry about making "special trips". But yes, our drivers are bitches and have a tendancy to cry over anything that involves working.
I do know exactly which driver you are referring to though. He delivers up that way and is the absolute worst one out of all of them. Whats the name of your shop? I've got a meeting this afternoon and would love to bring up the subject manner to my boss to try and get the issue resolved.
