ok well guess what, this thread says he needs a bus from newport news to new york city, nobody gives a fuck how long it takes you to get anywhere.

 

I took one of these buses from DC to NYC. I believe it was called Washington Deluxe. You reserve your ticket online, print out the confirmation form, and pay like $60 cash when you get on the bus. Like everyone has already said, GET THERE EARLY OR THEY WILL LEAVE YOU. It wasn't scary or uncomfortable in the slightest. The bus was filled with young people, European travelers, and some old folks. I think we might have been the only Asian people on the bus, actually. The driver wasn't even Asian. They did NOT drop us in Chinatown. We were dropped off about 10 blocks from our hotel in Times Square. The ride took 5.5 hours, with one quick stop to grab lunch. It was fine. No worries.

If you try to buy your ticket in Chinatown, everyone will scream at you and bang on signs to get you to buy their tickets. Don't get scammed!

 

Bus leaves at 12:30 am, tonight/tommorow morning, so Im gonna get there at 11:30. Should be fine, I hope this bus isn't packed tho.

 

go to some chinese food places, you will see ads. apparently they speed like a muthafucka, don't stop, and they dont have bathrooms. just like a speed run!

 

Sounds like the way I drive from NYC to Va

My best record thus far is 5 hours 30 minutes from NYC to Hampton, thats with 3 gas stops and traffic in Md and on 64. Yea, not doing that anymore..

 

The one I rode had a bathroom. We stopped on the way up for lunch (left at like 8am), but didn't stop for dinner on the way back home (left at 4pm).

 

they only stop for gas on the way up to ny and they stop for food on the way back

i actually rode a greyhound from newport news to syracuse, ny. yeah, not so much. not very fun....

it was like 24 hours.
