get one from a 300zx and the wiring from heavy throttle. those ignitors can be had for cheapo and work just as good.

Just a quick rule of thumb with these motors (sr20det and 240s in general) the two most common problems causing them not to start or run shatty seems to be a bad MAF or a bad Ignitor Chip (on sr). This is just something I have gathered from reading write up after write up on these cars/sr motor. So if your having startup issues or your cars running like shit you should always check these first. The Sr's especially like to get bad ignitor chips. My KA was running like crap and I simply pulled the plug outta my MAF (battery still connected) and cleaned it with some contact cleaner. It's been running a hell of alot better. This is just something you can try be4 burning your $$ on a new MAF. Just some tips I've gathered since lately I've been living on 240 forums to pass time at work.

yeah its me. i replaced my ignitor i did change the maf and ecu in total plus the plugs clean oil and filter. timing chain is fine because its a chain and i would really have to break something to mess that up did a compression test and it was 160 accross the board. i did a real good look at my wiring harnesses and i am not satisfied with my ecu harness it is horrible so all the probs i saw and touched while down there convincess me that it has to be the prob. so that is where i am.... what should i do

if you can solder go for it. because i hate those wires. i look at them then i touch them then i vomit.
