Actually had a F-14 do a couple of flyby's and a few air maneuvers by the carrier I'm on when we were last out to sea(flyby was on the 28th I believe). Didn't know there was an active squadron still.

 

yes it was VF-31 they dont start transtion until 1 Jan.

 

I heard there CO talking at the exchange and he said they only have a month left flying 14s so i think they are starting before jan 1st. Plus 31 is not waiting for jets like the rest of us there getting E's and are getting all 11 at once..

 

I can take you up to the best "view" of the airshow..up in the Tower...you can stand outside on the catwalk for some good shots..

those damn jets fly over my house all day long and even at 10-11 pm. I'll just sit on my roof.

 

and they'll get the newer 'lots', so they wont have to worry about all the mods/ayb's/afb's...etc....bastards

today was a pretty damn good show. i was so impressed with the f-15. i used to work on tomcats, have seen numerous broken sound barriers from them, but no shit, i think the f-15 blow them outta the water!!!

 

the f15 has always been my favorite.
all i can say is i have never seen so many asian people with 4 foot long lenses in my life. it was like an endless row of asians with big lenses hahahahaahahaha

 

I was there today. It was pretty sweet, F15 flying low and slow and then goes full throttle straight up.
C-130 with JATO Rocket packs taking off. parachuters with lights and fireworks.
And that Rocket powered truck.
