I pose a question for you guys/girls...
well with that kinda money jeez
but at least with the sti you are saving gas and can fit a car full of people
an 05 sti run s about 20-22k
so you do the math on all the upgrades you could buy to spank that zo6 with a 100shot

I don't know....ryans only ran a 13.3 with all kinds of shit, but then again, larry ran a 12.7 with just exhaust and bov....guess it depends on driver....and the point I'm making is that if you did that stage 3 crap on an sti, your taking away it's reliability. I would rather have my c5 that runs a 13.1 than buy an older sti and mod it and have to worry about breaking something, running lean/rich, boost creep/spike...stuff like that....I guess this 240 really opened up my eyes. I'm tired of spending money on shit like that...I have almost $19k in my 240 and what do I have to show for it? It's still not running and I'm not spending another dime on it...
The Corvette is a hell of a platform.
The only cars I can think of that come close in performance, price and options would be a '03-'04 Cobra or LS2 GTO.
99% of a Evo or STi's E/T is dependent upon the launch. Low 13s are common from these cars stock when you launch the piss out of them, otherwise, they're a high 13 second car. I can't speak on their options though.

Are you seriously basing the reason you want to buy a daily driven car on a quater mile time? I'd be more conserned w/ 0-60, cornering, and 60-0. All three of those things are more applicable to daily driving. Why do I assume you want to know this based on daily driving - because you asking for interior features. If you want a fast quater mile time car for that price w/ awesome looks and weight ballance as well as banging ass interior, then you my friend want a FD RX-7 w/ a LS6 in it...but you didn't ask for that.
It depends on where you are as to whats applicable to daily driving. There are no twisty roads around here, so why would you need a car that can pull .98g's as a daily driver? Going 0-60 as fast as you can is also dumb, because most of the time you're stuck behind traffic at a stop light.
As for cornering I was refering to corners, such as any corner, the faster you can take sharper corners, the more fun. If you can't go 0-60 where are you going to find that 1/4 mile strip? If you're refering to the interstate, that is what I was refering to when I mentioned it, I was just trying to be more realistic w/ the speed and legality (vs a 115 mph trap time).
Even still...no FD has a better interior than a vette, nor does it have the options. Now, with a LS1 in it, yes, it will be bad-ass and fast, but I wasn't comparing cars like that because they're are too many to list. As far as cornering, stopping, and whatnot, I wouldn't eliminate a vette so quickly, you would be suprised at how they handle....
I most certainly would NOT eleminate a Vette from the handling/breaking factor at all - just saying that I would be more concerned w/ that over 1/4 mile times...but hey I don't drag race.
Also, I am not familiar w/ the interior of a Vette, but I will say - from my experience - domestics interiors usualy suck in comparison. I am sure a Corvette is the exception, but I know an FD has a crazy exotic/nice looking interior.
Just a comparison - the vettes is super nice as well
