There is quite a bit of difference between being a typical person who requires a doctor's prescription to acquire medicine, let alone the 8 years of schooling that it requires to be a doctor. Hardly a good comparison for someone looking for a fuel map.

You're absolutely right, I did, and still do not know everything. The difference, however, is when I do not know something I do not simply rely on others to do it for me. I may ask for help, or advice, but never do I ask for others to do my work for me. If I do not know it, then I take the time to research the issue and learn from it.

You seriously took the time to filter through old posts of mine to find the one that you could best argue, and thats the best you could come up with? Asking a quick question about a facility in the general area is not the same as asking for someone to come hurry up and tune his damn car bud. Me asking for a local recycler is no different than others asking for a local dyno. Many recyclers do not pay for metal.

the fact is he ask someone to help him tune his car, doesnt mean that he doesnt put wrench time in on it,doesnt mean he has no knowledge of cars or anything else.I think your compleatly stupid for even saying that he should be able to tune his own car.How many people on this board are able to but yet still go to people to have it done,I'd rather take my car to someone like Sohc mshue to have it done correcty and know that its not a chance i didnt not consider something or left something out.And more less if he wants to pay someone to tune his car asap, its his money his car and he didnt ask YOU!

filter through ...lol... its at the top of your thread list, and yes you can still look in the damn phone book and do it yourself ,as you state that you do.... no comparison to a local dyno....give it a rest....

"where is a dyno around here" and asking for someone to rush to his rescue and tune his car is not the same thing. Wtf is with you guys and continually trying to make lame comparisons in an attempt to defend this guy.

And if I had the time, I would love to make the same comments to each and every one of them. He did ask me when he made a thread about it. If he sent a PM to someone, or an email, then it would be different.

I personally think its a lame thing to slam people for asking someone to tune your car. Im in the same scenerio, I need my stage 4 WRX tuned, the fueling in it is just haywire. I dont have the means to tune it myself, it was professionally tuned prior, but then the ECU crapped out and now the tuning is messed up. Now because of what you're saying, I need to spend countless hours researching, and purchasing the right stuff to tune it? Right...I have far more important things to do, that will carry me allot further in life than just being a little garage tuner...So i'll leave it to someone who actually is a professional at doing such a thing, they're the ones getting paid for it.

So do you have a personal problem with any guys needing a tune? I mean hell, who did you go to when you needed your GSX tuned? I mean, you should have just done it yourself, and bought your own AWD dyno, why rely on others for such a 'dumbass' thing? BECAUSE ITS NOT PRACTICAL...Do you get my point? For allot of these guys, its NOT PRACTICAL for them to purchase the program and learn how to tune their own car when they can have someone with EXPERIENCE to do it for them in a lot less time. Chill the hell out dude, the only reason we're stomping your balls is cause your comment was arrogant, ignorant and simply pointless. It wasnt helpful, didnt make a single point, and sure as hell didnt change any of our minds. Many of us dont plan on being "tuners" or always working on our own car. Allot of times if its something complex like that, it needs to be done by a pro and you really cant become one over night - and this kid needs a tune ASAP, like the title states, in case you didnt catch that.
