Yes never get attached to cars, no matter how much work and $$ you put into it. After all its just a material object. Unfortunetly I fell victim to the rx7 but it has been my dream car for the past 15 years...since I was 17
And that is my "ferrari"

And that fukin car will probably be my downfall and make me loose all the $$ that I had made on selling all of my other cars

So yes sell the fukin car as fast as you can
Then take 80% of that $$ for a downpayment
and the remaining 20% use to buy a already modified cheap car (like a hatch or sumtin(or atleast this is what I would do to temporarily ease the pain) Building your own car will net in great reward but great loss...bank off someone elses loss and buy a built car

You will take a huge loss but u will have a house that will always appreciate.

BTW Just outta curiousity how much do nicely modded vr4's go for?
I was under the impression they where worth half of the figure that was mentioned previously in the thread.

Damn, don't even know what to say bro. I haven't been a member for too long but i have seen and heard verry much of you and your car. But as it has already been metioned by others and yourself, selling the car would open up many new opportunities for you in life. Seeing how there is much blood, sweat, tears, soul and sore nuckels put in this car from u and all of your friends, like you also said earlier, it would be a big mental hurdle for u to go through with this. Also, on the bright side, you get to start all over again with another car. Wich is always fun to do!

i feel your pain...it sucks being carless (i still have the talon, but it is under a cover in the garage with no engine in it until have everything situated)...but im HOPING that once i have everything paid down and a decent house, it will be all worth it. i'd say sell the car, get your house, and work on another car bigger and better than the vr-4 now. hell if gas/diesel prices hadnt gone up i would've sold my truck, and got something else, but nobody is in the market now for something that big.

I own a house and the car of my dreams, and I vote for the car. Houses are easier to come by then the car you built Jay. Just my thoughts......

Tough decision Jay. I had the same thing last winter, but luckily found a way to keep the toy and get the house. Owning your own house as you get older and older is going to be very important. I say sell it, get the house, then get a new platform and start from the beginning. The thrill of the new project will help dull the pain of the 3000.

Plus you can come over to my house and help build the L!
