What brand of car speakers are good nowadays?
My infinity perfects have never done me wrong. I do like some MBQuarts.

I used to manage discount auto sound years ago. I learned that infinity was the best components (and sub if you were going for clarity over boom boom), rockford was the best amps, but we had more returns from rockford subs failing and having problems then anything. Back in the day MTX had the best subs and same with JL audio but I am not sure now a days.
Ive only used Infinitiys or Polk Db. both by far are great. even better with a amp hooked up. My roommate has mb quarts, they arent bad either
All depends on your budget. When I have my customers get equipment for me to do installs for them, I usually send them to onlinecarstereo.com for the best deals. From there, as said, depends on your budget. Some of the better lines that won't cost you an arm and a leg are alpine, infinity, mb quart, rockford, and kicker. If you have a little more to spend, I REALLY like pretty much anything made by diamond and some of the higher lines from kicker and rockford as well.
If you wanna hear crispiness, then go for inifinity components. pioneer and kenwood are not too bad. the newer rockford speakers are pretty loud from my experience. My set up doesn't even have rear speakers because the infinity components are good enough.
