i would get an evo all the way.its 4door, great handling,good stock power,with lots of room for upgrades.you can pick a nice evo up for 19k and buy a bolton turbo kit and make 500whp with no probs.

out of all the cars you chose an sti? i would get a ws6 6 speed with low miles. you can find one for around 10 grand. sc Cobra, camaro ss, dont get a vette, every one has one now, they are becoming like mustangs. OR you what i would do if i had 26K i would build a sleeper.

get the sti ... not the evo... if you don't plan to mod.
the sti is a better "stock" car.. more power ... and great sounding exhaust.
evo reliability isn't a problem really.. depends more about who drove it, how many bullshit launches and how well the car was maintained.
with that said... the evo is a awesome car... sharp as a razor, pretty quick, easy to add power, and loves to be driven at 10/10ths. It's almost impossible to drive the car without breaking the law
the m3 would be a better choice if you're trying to avoid police attention.

Perhaps... more people are prone to try and abuse an evo.... because they like to be run hard.

s2k is a great car. I'm just looking for something a little faster in a straight line and that responds to mods a little better. I don't want to spend $2000 on i/h/e on the S and gain like 10 hp
I don't know about how m3's respond to MOD's, but they are fast enough stock for me.
