it'll be a home-built low cost motion detection system. Unlimited expandability but to start, I just want it to trigger an alarm in the apartment. This has happened only while i'm sleeping (about 30 feet away on the first floor) so it just needs to get me up. Glock is next to the bed and i am looking forward to chasing a motherfucker down. It'll flash my door lock circuit as well so parking lights will flash and doors will click. That should be enough to halt the fucker but i still want to chase. Nothing's stolen so it's either a fucking kid or just some retard walking by and wants to fuck with a flashy car.
Eventually it'll be linked to my wireless network and page/call my phone when tripped. Was also planning on IP cameras also triggered by small motion detectors (they're easy to build
) but that's just extra cost that a simple system can accomplish.
Still planning out the specs but it should be easy to setup - i can post specs when it's live.

please do, I am wanting to build one that sets off an alarm and also turns on my security camera so if he gets away before I respond atleast the camera will catch him.

I live over here by twin conals(sp) by the 7-11 they tried to jack my radio but couldn't get it out so they took my face plate........ anyway, they left all their items in my car plus scratched up my shift knob pretty good. looks like i was coming home in my s2k or someone else in my circle was coming home and they ran off or they could have been sitting in my car when i got home in the S and i could have been fucked. didn't have the gun with me that night, would have been a lovely time to use it. just waiting for the day i come out and my top is slashed with the seats gone... only down side to the S

Anyway... I can't wait to fuck up some asshole's night. I've started building a couple of the IRsensors. Want to test with them first before trying an 'active' setup (ie like supermarket auto doors with microwave sensors). Trying to find a good mounting location where they'll have a good view of their surrounding's will be the hard part.
