i'm tempted to maybe try a spacer....but i seriously only think my problems will be solved when i get less "beefy" tires. lol. i kinda thought i'd have a problem with the 195/55's. but i didn't know it would be like this.
Worst case scenario you move the rubbing to a different part of the well. If the rub's not too severe a thin (10mm or so) spacer would likely solve it all.
Make a thread with the specs and you'll get your answer. This thread is for people who want to dig grooves into the highway.
lol i just did a few searches for some tires. best i can get is a 195/50/r15 lol...so i'll be running a tire that is slightly stretched to get it to fit without rubbing

yeah, i think i might try that, would i have to get longer studs just for the extra 10 mm?
I would. You'd probably be okay buying some cheap spacers and bolting them up and driving around for a bit to see what rubs. But should the time come to go for something permanent I'd get quality spacers and longer studs.
best i'm finding are 5 or 15 mm for the teg. prices seem reasonable around 60-100 dollars. which isn't bad. and should fix my problem. i'll get my measurement on and see what i can play with.
anyone want to roll my fenders in the next couple weeks?
i went from 245's to 305's and barely rub. I think your problem is your tires are too tall, get different tires/wheels/both. Spacers are not going to fix a height problem, it will get worse, mark my words.
EDIT: this is assuming they are rubbing on the fenders and not the struts

You can buy 7 or 8mm spacers from Pep Boys for like $10-15.
And if you want, I'll help you roll your fenders. You have to come to me, but we can do it.
