8 sec timeslips? I sold a high 12 sec. Camaro this last year, and that was right around 500hp. 8 sec street driven LT1s are very far and few between. And I didnt even consider my third gen Camaro a muscle car, let alone a 4th gen. Clean car though, I wanted a 4th gen for a long time, But my 90+ mile daily commute made me turn to the other side and I can honestly say the Honda is fun as hell

I just wish he'd start with some drop springs, decent wheels, and a small dose of humility. You can't be Billy Badass with a stock Camaro, I don't care who you are.. That car is worth about $7k in awesome condition, so it's not like it's a baller trophy...

And an 8 second street Camaro isn't a street Camaro at all, it's a drag car that you drive on the street sometimes. 600 WHP could get you into the 10s if you can drive it, getting into the 8s is fun to think about without a big block or some healthy forced induction.

If I remember my trivia correctly, it takes roughly 800 WHP to break into the 8s for a 3200 pound car, with everything dialed and a good driver. How much does that SS weigh, 3600 pounds roughly?

i'll take that into consideration. to everyone that says the car is nice thanks. but anything looks good in pics it is flawed some of the clear is starting to flake yea the car ways roughly 3600lbs. it would take at least 650rwhp to get tens since its a m6 autos are easier to dial in at the track. i'm sure you guys knew that. however back to the subject at hand. my wife bought me a turbo kit with a t88 turbo (hot parts only) for xmas not knowing that with a stock motor it would blow it up 10:5.1 too high of compression. so i have been saving money for the past 5 years for my car (wife and i agreement) and i have almost 26,000 saved up to get the car right. trust me it has been very hard to keep it stock over all these years but i have restrained myself to buying things cause i knew i wanted to go turbo. so did she at this current moment i am having a 355 built to handle this. the probs i'm having is finding a location for a intercooler cause i dont want to hack the shit out of my front bumper and i cant find anyone to tune the car cause people tune the ls but not the lt's. so i inquired the help of a guy named mightymouse a member on another fourm i visit from time to time. i hear he knows his shit when it comes to turbos. well i plan on talking to him fri and we take a look at the car if i dont have my daughter that evening. so no i'm not a big balla but just a average joe like the rest of ya'll that works hard takes care of his family and likes to play on the side. i try to at least. i know the t88 is capable of at least 1000 rwhp so i know 8's is possible on a dialed in chasis. also have to get alot of susp. mods too. so i personally think 8's is possible. i know people will more than likely have something to say so the suggestions or comments are welcome.

my question is...is this going to be a full blown drag car or are you attempting to build a daily driveable 8sec car?
