Shaun at Hot Rod Tattoo is doing mine.
it really depends on what you want done, in my opinion. Shaun is fucking incredible, my Escher sleeve has some incredible detail so far. i got a little over 124 more hours left though
if you are wanting a portrait done, there is a chick at Star City that is pretty good. if you want some tree of life stuff done, christina at Star city is the one.
i have seen some damn good work come out of Danny's, but in my opinion any tattoo artist that is also promoting laser removal is hypocritical (or getting greedy and wanting a share in all aspects of the market)
Rendezvous is not bad, but i have seen some of their work be not so grand. i just did not like the lack of detail.
after about 22 hrs so far, i have my right upper sleeve done. next is the left upper, then my backpiece. it is going to be centered around Escher's Circle limit IV, aka heaven and hell. but much more added to it. left arm is going to be a full color piece with some of Ed Roth's work, and quite a bit of intricate Pinstriping a'la Von Dutch.
then the forearms are completed to finish both sleeves, and then possibly my legs, if i find a design i will want. this has been being planned for about seven years now, since i first met Shaun.
