Why don't you guys just finish the car and prove him wrong...post the compression and leakdown numbers once you finally put a new head on it.

That car did not come in only for a 6-Speed swap. That's just one of the things we needed to do.

Why should I post up his compression numbers. I wont unless there is a wager and my client agrees. So far he isn't against what I am saying and that's the only reason we are even having this discussion. I am calling you all out publicly; please don't back out. I'm a bit confused... what are you "calling me out" about? Is it because I asked about NVCC classes in general for welding? I've never welded in my life, so I thought it might be fun to try. I did not know that made me some NVCC certified engine builder, but hey, why not. If my posting that question gives you some sort of "leverage" in your eyes, then go for it.

Additionally, you want me to finish someone's miata motor? I don't think so, I have enough projects on my car, without taking on someone else's car. If you are that upset about it, maybe you should allow some other shop to finish the work, the way the Maxima was handled.

My job is not working on cars, nor is it delivering on the promises of your shop. My job is quite the opposite, and cars are a hobby for me. It should not take my "betting" for you to finish a car that's been sitting there dormant. I suppose if I owned a shop, I would probably say something like "hey, there is a bunch of guys talking shit on our shop, lets go actually finish some cars and show them!". That may not be your approach, but it sure would shut up a good deal of individuals that seem to have qualms with your shop. I suppose we all have different approaches. I'll keep taking my steroids (as you so put) and continue driving my little "fag" miata around.

LOL I'm still trying to figure out exactly how "Atif" has the time to get on here and make 200 line posts but can't simply throw a head back on the damn car in question to prove us wrong, I mean when we were up there how long ago the car had already been sitting long enough that it wasn't hardly white anymore. So when is this engine building "contest" going to get underway? Can I join in because I've only ever built one motor and i'm pretty sure I could do a better job than Atif and AA Motorsports and I could SURE AS HELL get it done faster.

 

I think I would be afraid to post up to if you had my car for how long along with how much of my money....seems liek a great idea to post up shit about the shop working on it. I'm willing to bet after he gets his car back he'll be singing a different tune about AA.

looks like Atif laid it out there plain and simple. He proves your wrong about your diagnosis of the motor problems or he pays up 3500 to each person totaling 7k. Or you build him a motor. I think those are the parameters. That is a bold ass bet and it looks like he has some people shakin up now. lol.
