Any of you Beach Rd. area people should drive through my parents neighborhood Brandy Oaks.
First house you see on your right was hit by about 7-8 trees on three sides and totalled 2 mercedes and a minivan.

My car was fine inside a garage, just had some downed trees where I live and no power for 3 days...

Yea...Beach Rd. area got hit hard...what we originally thought was 8 trees down ended up being 15 by the time it was all said and done. Guy across the street's total came to 25 trees. We can now see both houses behind us and the house behind him as well. We couldn't previously. Power is still out and there's about 3 - 4 miles worth of power lines that need to be completely reconstructed (poles and all) before we'll be able to get power back. The generator has been a life saver the past few days. Cold drinks, hot showers...can't complain too much. Spent the entire weekend from the time I woke up until the time I would go to bed helping dad clean the yard up. We're finally down to a little bit of shrubbage that needs to go and we'll be done. Phone lines were in and out all weekend and finally came back on to stay (knock on wood) sunday evening. Yea...it's been a fun 5 days.

Some DUMBASS welded the grates for the gates shut because they rattled or something so they couldnt shut the flood gates on the Midtown Tunnel in p-town
Now people who travel from Portsmouth to Norfolk (and vice versa) have to bring scuba gear
They say it could be months before it's fixed because of the electrical work in the tunnel

no personal damage to me or my house. there were huge trees blocking the exits/entrances to my neighborhood. had half a tree in my yard and just tons of sticks and shit. nothing bad. just still powerless and bullshit. still hatin it hard.
