I was about to register to race PTE before leaving for the West Coast last week and I'm glad I didn't. Got word today my truck has (a) blown headgasket(s) and the cheapest way possible is $2,300 to fix.
No tracking for me anytime soon...or at all in 2009.
Yay.
wtfux. Put plates on the SER and drive that bitch. If it breaks on the way there, oh well, it was bound to happen at some point.
sounds silly, but it does help a lot. I was so much more prepared at VIR vs summit, just because i rode along about 6-7 sessions at VIR before and knew what to expect.
I'm sure it does but for now I'll make do. Besides... I'm more of a hands on gotta do it to learn it kinda person

For the PT class (and one day when I'm good enough) I think my base class was like an F and with all my mods I got bumped up to a D. Should be fun!

I'm only putting down 119-120 right now but power has nothing to do with it. I'm running lap times 1-2 seconds (2:21ish) behind the E30's last time we checked. But you will see that low HP cars give the big power cars fits in the corners in almost every run group. Dont wory about going "fast" your first time out. You will have the most fun when you are in the corners. 120+ on the straights is boring, hanging on for dear life at 45 thats super fun!!!!!

yea that's what i was being told. I <3 corners. hopefully I will learn loads the easy way... and not go off track in a corner.
i'm not too worried about the fastness- i need to learn and work on lines.
