According to Corey, the hydra still allows close/open loop cycles, and a few others things that the AEM dont.

Ill be going with an AEM when this motor comes out though cuz the hydra is expensive.

AEM does sound like a good idea. But if I don't decide to upgrade the turbo I will probably just get the accessport or UTEC. I don't know that much about the utec but i've heard good things.

The tuning is much more in depth than the OTC maps on the accessport. Id definetly go with AT LEAST a utec. My car is tuned with one and I love it, plus there little extras that it comes with when you get the map selector (i.e. security mode, valet, ect)

Favorite setup, that I think you'd like:
Cobb sway bars
Cobb strut bars
Do-Luck Sub-frame
*or Perrin Sub-frame if you get a 4" downpipe
Whiteline Anti-lift kit
Some sticky tires (your choice)

I rode in a buddy's STi that had a setup similar to mine listed above, with addition of Cusco body braces, and I honestly didn't feel that much of a difference from mine. Honestly think you'd be happy with parts shown/listed.

Car will still be completely suitable for daily, and will handle like a dream. I still miss my WRX .

Before I track it for the first time I'll throw some DTC-60's on it and some RA1's as well as a sparco harness bar. There is a lot I want to do but I need to pace myself lol. I'm not sure how far I want to take this car performance wise as I was planning on buying another race car. If I decide to make it into a race car I'll probably put a 30R on it LSD's front and rear, Ohlins or Motons with 950lb front and 1050lb rear springs. I need to make some money first though so I gotta get back to work.
While Cobb makes good products, there are better. I chose to support shops like Race Comp Engineering because they're actually out racing these cars and care about the community. I don't get that same feeling from Cobb.

I also don't know that I'd do the Sparco bar. For essentially the same price you can get a Autopower bolt roll bar. More safety, stiffens the chassis and with either the Sparco bar or the Autopower bar you still can't carry rear passengers...

Agreed. Don't do Access Port. I'm 150% certain my engine FAILURE was from the OTS Cobb map. Most powerful map Kienan had ever seen and then, boom.

That wouldn't be my list. This would
  • Race Comp sways or Whiteline sways
  • Kartboy endlinks
  • Whiteline roll center adjusters
  • Whiteline Anti-lift kit
  • Race Comp Engineering or Ohlins coilovers
  • Invidia downpipe with divorced wastegate
  • whatever catback you like the looks/sound of (I like Tanabe)
  • UTEC (Kienan can tune it locally)
  • GT Spec under braces (all of 'em)
